Mark your calendar! The third annual Michler’s Christmas Market will be held on Saturday, December 2nd from 11-5PM and Sunday, December 3rd from 12-4PM at the Kentucky Native Cafe, 446 East High St, Lexington, KY. Be sure to check out more Christmas Markets at the end of this blog!
As in the time-honored tradition of the Weinachts Markts throughout Germany, Michler’s Yuletide celebration is held outdoors. Stroll through the resplendent gardens while shopping the intriguing handiwork of the local artists. You will find everything from fiber, ceramics, wood works, hand lettering, pottery, soaps, and jewelry to local teas, honey and jams. The nursery will be hand-crafting fresh, seasonal wreaths. And keep in mind that many of the artists will customize your order.
Performed live, gentle Christmas melodies welcome the merry shoppers as pleasing aromas of all that is warm and inviting for the holidays waft through the market. Wrap your hand around a toasty, Glühwein (mulled wine) or Hot Toddy (a combination of MonTea, Cosnic honey & Kentucky Bourbon) and fill the other with a warm, soft- baked pretzel and Brie beer cheese. Cozy up to the wood-burning chiminea and mingle with friends and family. Other specialty menu items include a fabulous grilled cheese and a plethora of handmade Christmas cookies and tasty pastries. Devour on site or have a box made up to take home and share.
