Triple J Family Farm- Georgetown, KY

In honor of the recent National Farmers Markets Week, I’m highlighting a local family; Triple J Farm to share with you. There are so many excellent agricultural operations in the Bluegrass area it’s difficult to decide on just one. But I have to start somewhere and to be sure, I’ll feature more!

Triple J Farm is a family-owned fruit and vegetable enterprise, with farm-raised beef and free range egg production. Located in Georgetown, Kentucky, the Triple J’s namesake stems from the three children, now fourth generation: Jeremy, Jared and Jessica. Their mission is to provide nutritious, local harvest, educate the community and build enduring relationships. They cultivate with pride and hope to pass this noble profession on to succeeding generations.

A great source for local beef, eggs, produce & even compost

These resourceful farmers generate a wide variety of vegetables including broccoli, beets, greens, eggplant, potatoes, beans, multiple varieties of tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, onions, corn, melons, strawberries and herbs. Visit them earlier in the growing season for seedlings ready for transplant into your own garden. Jeremy will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Have you considered Community Supported Agriculture or CSA? This is the perfect means to back your local farmer while assuring newly harvested veggies and eggs to you and your family. Available on a weekly basis, the wonderfully fresh produce opens your kitchen to new and healthy meals! Quite different than the weeks-old grocery offerings, the distinctive color, texture and flavor of garden-fresh produce will amaze and delight.

Take a quiz to determine if you are a good candidate for CSA. The most popular program is a mere $19 a week. And if you need meal ideas, there are endless recipes on the internet right at your finger tips!
